About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a legally trained professional with a background in insurance, insurance claims management, litigation, or negotiation of services contracts. Working part-time (3 days per week), you will review consultancy and services agreements, identify liability and insurance risks, and provide clear advice to clients. The role also includes developing and delivering training sessions, seminars, and articles on contract and risk management topics, contributing to both client education and industry thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and advise on consultancy and services agreements, novation deeds, IP deeds, and related documents
- Provide written and verbal advice on contractual risks, liability issues, and negotiations
- Deliver seminars, webinars, and training to client groups and professional associations
- Write articles, guidance notes, and thought leadership pieces for clients and industry bodies
- Stay up to date with developments in insurance, liability, and risk management frameworks
About You:
- Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification
- At least 3 years experience in insurance, insurance claims, litigation, contract negotiation, or related areas (private practice, government, or in-house)
- Strong contract analysis skills and ability to draft clear, plain-English advice
- Excellent communication skills with confidence in presenting to clients and professional groups
- A collaborative, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
