We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Multiskilled Carer to join our care team at a well-established facility offering beds all with ensuites. Our homely atmosphere provides comfort to residents, including those living with dementia who require specialised support. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking Multi-Skilled Carers to share responsibility for the well-being of residents, providing person-centred care and enhancing their quality of life by ensuring they feel welcome and respected at all times. Full time, part time and casual opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with personal care needs like bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other personal care.
* Support residents in maintaining or restoring their independence by assisting with activities of interest and mobility aids as needed.
* Complete accurate and timely documentation, reporting relevant information to Nursing, Allied Health, and Management as required.
* Maintain effective workplace communication, demonstrating respect, openness to change, and kindness.
* Assist with medication administration in accordance with facility policies.
Key Requirements:
• Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (desirable)
• Experience working within an aged care setting as a carer
• Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy and collaborate effectively with health professionals, service providers, and case managers
• Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals
• Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
• Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents
