We are seeking a highly customer service focussed individual who has experience with helpdesk IT to be are first point of contact for all Council staff. This is an interesting and interactive role within a stable organisation.
The role requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
About You
In this role you will take ownership of support requests and see them through to completion.
Responsibilities
* Provide friendly, efficient level 1 technical support to staff in the use of computers, peripherals, routers, networks, videoconferencing, and telephones.
* Provide level 1 desktop application support and general ICT help.
* Escalate tasks within the team as required.
* Provide level 0 contact passing on staff clinical and asset incidents to appropriate roles.
* Accurately log incidents and outcomes using the designated incident management tools.
* Manage assets within the organisation using the designated management tools.
* Support mobile and fixed line phones, videoconferencing, terrestrial and satellite broadband.
* Escalate to and liaise with the technical support of external service providers to resolve problems and follow up to ensure problem resolution.
* Configure, install and support desktop computers and peripherals in accordance with established practice.
* Order and maintain stock levels for computers, phones, peripheral devices, consumables and other ICT items.
* Create and maintain documentation for various ICT processes and systems, staff orientation, and help/FAQ guides.
* Occasional travel to the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.
* Duties include first level technical support.
* The majority of interactions will be via phone and email.
* Quick to respond to enquiries and action where relevant and/or necessary.
* Use of initiative and completing tasks in a timely manner.
* Report inconsistencies to the Senior ICT Officer/Chief Information Officer.
Qualifications
* Act as technical support, team player, first point of contact for staff accessing the ICT team.
* Create and maintain system documentation and staff orientation and help documentation.
* Undertake IT tasks across the Ngaanyatjarra Group commensurate with the scope and classification of the position.
* Provide level 1 desktop application support and general ICT help.
* Effective customer liaison skills and communication skills, in dealing with other staff members, related and external entities.
* Configure, install and support desktop computers and peripheral in accordance with established practice.
* Escalate and liaise with the technical support of external service providers to resolve problems and follow up to ensure problem resolution.
* Demonstrate interpersonal skills and work ethics, including the ability to work as an effective team member in providing high quality responsive customer service.
