About the Role
This is a challenging and dynamic position that involves coordinating multiple technical aspects, including project management, contract execution, and operational coordination.
* Take on a visible leadership role in promoting a safety-first culture among the Mine Services team and stakeholders.
* Develop and apply analytical skills to drive improvement in departmental capabilities using BHP Operating System tools.
* Oversee mechanical improvement projects from conception through to delivery and closeout.
* Collaborate with leaders to identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical systems.
* Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting.
About You
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Prior experience in heavy industry, mining, or underground operations would be advantageous.
* Have a strong understanding of mechanical infrastructure, including compressed air systems, water reticulation, pumping stations, barricades, backfill reticulation, and ventilation systems.
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in PowerBI for data analysis and consolidation.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
* Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
