A key responsibility of this Forklift Operator role is to work in a fast-paced environment, safely transporting and loading steel materials for delivery. This position requires excellent manual handling skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate counterbalance and high reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
* Pick and pack prefabricated steel kits (sheds, fencing, carports).
* Read and follow pick lists or job sheets with confidence.
* Follow site safety rules and use personal protective equipment correctly.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet project goals.
The successful candidate will possess a valid Forklift Licence (LF) and prior experience operating forklifts in a yard, warehouse, or factory setting. The individual must also be physically fit and able to handle manual tasks safely.
Requirements:
* A valid Forklift Licence (LF)
* Previous experience using forklifts in a yard, warehouse, or factory
* Fit for physical work and aware of safe manual handling
* Strong awareness of workplace safety
* Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
