Position Overview
The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain the Department's infrastructure across public and private cloud environments. The role focuses on infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) practices to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient operations for data analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement cloud infrastructure for data analytics solutions.
* Develop and maintain IaC scripts and automation pipelines.
* Ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud environments.
* Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate DevSecOps practices.
* Document infrastructure designs, processes, and best practices.
Who We Are Looking For
* 10+ years of experience in DevSecOps for complex data and analytics platforms.
* Strong capability in Linux administration, shell scripting, and Docker/ containerization.
* Experience with Azure DevOps and related CI/CD tooling.
* Knowledge of Java and Spring for web application development.
* Proven ability to facilitate business processes and deliver new capabilities through system design and governance.
Must be Canberra based and hold NV1 security clearance.
