About the role
Local Family owned Mechanical & Performance shop is seeking a qualified mechanic to join our team in Currajong, QLD. As a Qualified Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of motor vehicles, working in a modern and well-equipped workshop.
What you'll be doing
* Performing routine maintenance and inspections on motor vehicles
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
* Carrying out specialist work such as engine rebuilds, brake system overhauls and suspension modifications
* Test driving vehicles to ensure quality of work
* Maintaining detailed job records and providing customer service
* Adhering to all health, safety and environmental policies
What we're looking for
* Formal trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified mechanic in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to identify and resolve complex faults
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Customer service orientation and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers
* Current driver's licence and your own tools
* Ability to work hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with overtime on offer (NO WEEKENDS)
