Permanent Teaching Opportunities – Youth Futures Community School (Bayswater)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?
Youth Futures is seeking dedicated full-time (8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, WA school terms) as well as relief teachers to join our team at Youth Futures Community School, in Bayswater.
We are looking for educators who can share their knowledge, experience and student-centred approach to help re-engage young people who have faced barriers in mainstream education.

Evolving to meet community needs since 1988, Youth Futures is one of WA's oldest and largest youth specialist organisations, delivering 30+ programs across education and training, support and wellbeing, and homelessness.
We believe every young person matters. Our mission is to empower young people to take control of their future by providing holistic support and opportunities that enable them to thrive.
Our schools are designed to re-engage students who have struggled in mainstream education. We help them achieve their personal best, develop social and life skills, and work towards pathways in TAFE, employment, training or apprenticeships.
The Role
As a teacher at Youth Futures Community School, you will:
Deliver differentiated lessons through explicit instruction, small group activities and one-on-one support.
Help students develop functional literacy and numeracy within an adapted WA curriculum.
Work collaboratively with Youth Workers, Clinical Psychologists and Educational Assistants in a trauma-informed, holistic environment.
Build strong, positive relationships with students, as our teacher : student ratio is low.
We're Looking for Teachers Who:
Understand the needs of students who have disengaged from mainstream education.
Can tailor programs to address educational gaps and individual learning needs.
Are confident working with at-risk students who may present challenging behaviours.
Are passionate about fostering positive relationships and re-engagement in learning.
Have experience supporting students with low literacy and numeracy levels - primary-trained teachers are also encouraged to apply.
Deliver culturally responsive, inclusive and developmentally appropriate practice.
Essential Qualifications
AQF Level 7 (or higher) teaching qualification
Current registration with TRBWA
Valid Working With Children Check
National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
Full Australian working rights
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122, 40116 or 40110).
