You've found it With increased program funding driving innovative work in responding to child sexual abuse and supporting children who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours, Centacare South West NSW is excited to welcome a passionate Counsellor/Case Worker ready to make real impact.

This is your chance to support children, young people, and adults with trauma-informed counselling, case management, and advocacy, all while helping families feel safe, supported, and empowered. You'll also provide early intervention for children under 10 displaying harmful sexualised behaviours, offering guidance with care, confidence, and compassion. * An enthusiasm for supporting children, adolescents, & their families.
* A kind & caring approach to both clients and colleagues.
* Excellent relationship-building & communication skills.
* Experience in delivering trauma-informed therapeutic support to victim-survivors of sexual assault and their non-offending families or carers.
* The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Skilled in assessing and supporting children displaying harmful sexualised behaviours, working collaboratively with their families.

Essential Qualifications & Checks:

* A relevant Tertiary qualification Community Services/Health, Counselling, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field, and demonstrate experience in practicing in Sexual Assault, family Violence or equivalent fields.
* Current Working with Children Check & National Police Check.
