Merlo Coffee began over 30 years ago with a simple philosophy – freshly roasted coffee served by people who are passionate about coffee.
Today, Merlo is proud to be one of Australia's leading independently owned and operated coffee roasters, who supply the public, our own Merlo Coffee stores and 1,700 cafes and restaurants with freshly roasted coffee around the country every day.
We are looking for talented, dedicated, and experienced Café All-Rounders (Barista experience an advantage) who are passionate about people, quality food, and great coffee to join our team at Merlo Toowoomba stores: Wyalla, Russell St and Xpress.
* Multiple x Cafe All-Rounder/ Barista roles, offering 20-30 hours per week
The role:
* Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring each customer feels welcome and appreciated.
* Prepare and serve coffee and beverages to Merlo standards.
* Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment.
* Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
* Follow health and safety procedures.
* Educate customers about our coffee blends, brewing methods, and menu options.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum 1 year experience in a customer service role preferred.
* Passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about coffee preparation and presentation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
* Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
* Flexible availability across the week and weekends.
