About the role
The Operations Manager role provides strategic and operational leadership that ensures effective, compliant and efficient functioning of all non‐teaching aspects of the School. Reporting to the Principal, the Operations Manager is responsible for:
* Implementing and maintaining systems, processes and governance frameworks aligned with the standards and requirements of the Newcastle Anglican Executive team.
* A key liaison between the School Principal and the Newcastle Anglican Executive Leadership team.
* Ensuring corporate services, financial management, ICT, administration, facilities and ancillary operations are well coordinated, sustainable and responsive to the needs of the School Community.
* Leading WHS, risk and compliance to protect the wellbeing of the school and ensure regulatory adherence.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience at a senior management level preferably within education or a related sector.
* Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
* Proven organisational and decision‐making skills.
* Experience in budgeting, financial management and resource allocation.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning and translate strategy into operations outcomes.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage facilities, maintenance and capital works projects.
* Demonstrated operational implementation of project management and change management tools.
* Demonstrated understanding of WHS, risk management and regulatory compliance.
* Experience working in a collaborative environment.
* Demonstrated ability to build and manage effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience implementing governance frameworks and policies.
* Experience working in an Independent or faith‐based school.
* Knowledge of the NSW education regulatory requirements.
