**The Role**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Preparing estimate costs plans and bills of quantities;
- Providing leadership to your design and project team of estimators, draftsmen, project managers
- Contractual administration;
- Fostering relationships with our partners to ensure repeat business;
- Measuring & valuing variations;
- Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors
- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Higher education qualifications in Quantity Surveying, or appropriate field from an accredited institution
- Ten years' experience as a quantity surveyor or in a similar position
- Ability to work autonomously
- Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently
- Able to manage a team of employees and multiple projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Goal-oriented and organized leadership
- Able to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred
- Organised and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
- Knowledge of applicable building code regulations
- Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
Immediate start desirable.
This is a residential, full-time role based in Morobe (Lae), Papua Recent Guinea (not FIFO). A competitive package including accommodation and travel fares will be offered, commensurate with skills and experience. It is essential that the person be able to thrive living and working in the country. Certain projects may require remote camp visits and/or living.
