About the Role
As a member of our school-based support teams, you will provide evidence-based counselling interventions to children from prep through to Year 12 with mild to moderate mental health concerns. You will also deliver broader social, emotional and wellbeing services across schools, including group work, whole-year psycho‐education and whole‐school wellbeing strategies.
Key aspects of your success will include working with school staff and families to support students' needs, collaborating with community organisations to link families to services, and receiving clinical and technical guidance from regional wellbeing supervisors.
Responsibilities
* Undertake individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents and families.
* Provide advice on diagnoses provided by external professionals and monitor students' progress.
* Administer specialised psycho‐educational assessments of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties, including assessments of cognitive, academic, behavioural, emotional, social and adaptive functioning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a similar role, with a background in working with young people considered a strong advantage.
* Thriving in a varied caseload, particularly focusing on mild to moderate mental health concerns.
* Highly organised, self‐motivated, and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
