About the role
TARGETED VACANCY - This is a targeted position in accordance with Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Whereby being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine qualification required to undertake this role to ensure the approach to service provision is effective, appropriate, and culturally safe.
Working from our Maitland office your part time hours may be worked across 5 days per week to a total of 24-32 hours.
As the first point of contact for clients, staff and community service providers your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will support your success in this role.
You will be supporting the growing client base in this area and the Community Services team through a range of administrative services including, recruitment administration, maintain and monitor supplies, secretariat support and a range of activities that support the efficient and effective running of the Maitland office.
Your personable approach to handling enquiries, your commitment to providing superior service and your natural ability to efficiently organise and complete administrative tasks means this could be the role for you.

Our Ideal Candidate (Selection Criteria):
* Certificate III in Business Administration or related area and/or previous experience working in general administration/reception.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a broad range of individuals.
* Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality principles.
* Attention to detail in record keeping, data entry and client management/appointment scheduling.
* High level computer skills including well developed capability in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to effectively multi-task, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Current clear NSW Working with Children Check.
