About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is responsible for end-to-end inventory control across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. You'll work closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Dispatch to ensure accurate stock availability and support on-time customer delivery.
This is a hands-on role combining floor presence with system accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate inventory records across all product lines
* Perform cycle counts and coordinate stocktakes
* Investigate and resolve stock variances and discrepancies
* Accurately receipt, transfer, and adjust stock in
* Monitor stock locations, bin accuracy, and storage layouts
* Support production schedules through material availability
* Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or at-risk stock
* Assist with inventory reporting and month-end reconciliation
* Contribute to continuous improvement of inventory processes and SOPs
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain
* Experience in manufacturing, steel, or building products (highly regarded)
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* ERP experience
* Understanding of FIFO, stock accuracy, and inventory controls
* Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and production teams
* Confident working both on the warehouse floor and in systems
