Overview
The role
The Trainee Plant Manager is responsible for supporting the effective management, leadership, and coordination of concrete plant operations to achieve production targets, customer satisfaction, and budget outcomes, while ensuring all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
This is a full-time opportunity, reporting to the Production Manager to develop your career with one of Australia's leading construction materials producers, with comprehensive training provided as you grow into the role.
This role is located in Deer Park, Victoria and you may be required to travel.
Responsibilities
1. Undertake training to obtain licences necessary for the role
2. Taking and input of concrete orders within the Melbourne concrete business
3. Schedule & allocate jobs
4. Provide supervision to Concrete Agitator Drivers (company & Lorry Owner Drivers)
5. Coordinate plant maintenance & perform basic maintenance
6. Batch and dispatch concrete
7. Manage stocks of raw materials
8. Ensure safety, health, environmental and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met

Our business
Central Pre-Mix Concrete is an integrated concrete and aggregate operation. We own five concrete plants, a hard rock aggregate quarry & modern batch plants are located at Deer Park, Campbellfield, Hallam, Port Melbourne and Gisborne. We also have a fleet of agitator trucks & an aggregate and cement cartage fleet.
