We are seeking an experienced Qualified Security Technician to join our team, specialising in the delivery of high-quality electronic security systems for commercial and government clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of advanced security solutions that meet strict compliance, confidentiality, and performance standards.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of security system integration, and the ability to work within secure and regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, program, and commission a range of commercial-grade electronic security systems, including:
* IP and analogue CCTV (networked and standalone)
* Access control and intruder alarm systems
* Intercoms and duress systems
* Integrated security management platforms
* Conduct system servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs in operational environments with minimal disruption.
* Perform site inspections, risk assessments, and assist in preparing project documentation, commissioning reports, and as-built drawings.
* Work within government compliance standards and security clearance requirements.
* Ensure all installations meet relevant AS/NZS standards, security regulations, and OH&S requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects safely, on time, and to specification.
* Provide technical support, training, and advice to end users and stakeholders.
* Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and stay informed of emerging security technologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Certificate III (or higher) in Security Equipment / Electronics / Telecommunications or equivalent.
* Current Security Technician / Installer Licence (as required by state/territory).
* Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in commercial or government electronic security installations.
* Familiarity with leading security systems such as Gallagher, Inner Range (Integriti/Concept), Tecom, Bosch, Genetec, and Milestone.
* Strong understanding of network-based security systems and IP communications.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and system documentation.
Desirable Attributes:
* Current White Card, Working at Heights, and/or EWP licence.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
* Ability to work autonomously or within multidisciplinary project teams.
* Proactive approach to safety and compliance.
