Job Description:
The role of Incident Response Officer involves monitoring security for over 1500 schools across Victoria, ensuring continuity of learning and safety.
Key responsibilities include interpreting alarm activations, dispatching security service providers, and liaising with school leaders regarding alarm activations and other security incidents.
Incident Response Officers will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and training more junior incident response officers, as well as overseeing complex security-related issues.
They will work closely with security service providers, alarm system technicians, and other emergency services to ensure effective incident response.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to interpret alarm activations and exercise judgement in dispatching security service providers
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with school leaders and other stakeholders
* Coaching and mentoring skills to develop more junior incident response officers
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Basic computer skills for documenting incident reports
