EWP Operators | Skilled Site Labourers – Water Treatment Plant| Ongoing Work Workfast is looking for experienced EWP Operators and Skilled Labourers to join our team on a major Water Treatment Plant project. If you are a reliable operator with a "get stuck in" attitude and experience on large-scale infrastructure sites, we want to hear from you.
This is a long-term opportunity to secure consistent work on Sydney Water sites with a path toward permanent employment.
What's On Offer:
* Competitive Pay: High hourly rates; UP TO $54.37/h + Super (Standard rates + Project Allowances).
* $ $52.46 (based on experience & tickets) + $1.91/h additional project allowance
* Travel allowance $26/day
* Stability: Consistent 40-hour weeks with occasional overtime.
* Growth: Long-term, ongoing roles with the opportunity for full-time internal positions.
* Location: Work on major infrastructure projects across Sydney Water sites.
* Penalties: Overtime and industry-standard allowances applied.
Requirements:
* Tickets: Valid Yellow Card / Under 11m and/or WP (Over 11m) EWP ticket.
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a skilled labouring or operating role, ideally within water treatment, utilities, or heavy industrial environments.
* Safety First: White Card (Construction Induction) is mandatory, along with a rock-solid commitment to site safety.
* Versatility: You aren't afraid to jump out of the machine to assist trades or help with general site duties.
* Reliability: Strong work ethic and the ability to get to site on time
* Location: Based in the Wollongong area or willing to travel to site.
Highly Desirable:
* Confined Space Entry (CSE) & Working at Heights.
* Excavator, Rigger, or Dogman tickets.
* First Aid Certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) to assist trades with mechanical installations and maintenance.
* Assist Pipe Fitters and Boilermakers with the handling of materials, valves, and pumps.
* General site labouring, including site setup, cleaning, and basic tool use.
* Ensure all plant machinery is operated according to safety protocols.
* Participate in daily toolbox talks and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
