About the Roles
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will prepare accurate, first-principles estimates across Structural, Mechanical, Piping (SMP) and Electrical scopes. You will work closely with project managers, procurement and construction teams to deliver commercially sound and competitive tenders.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and interpret structural, mechanical, piping and electrical drawings and specifications
* Complete detailed material take-offs (steel, piping, valves, equipment, cables, containment, switchgear, etc.)
* Prepare installation labour estimates across SMP and electrical scopes
* Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
* Identify commercial, constructability and delivery risks
* Prepare clear cost breakdowns, assumptions and clarifications
* Support tender submission, approvals and handover to project teams
About You
* Trade or engineering background in Mechanical, Piping, Structural or Electrical
* Demonstrated experience estimating SMP and/or Electrical projects in industrial environments
* Strong understanding of installation methodologies and productivity rates
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and scope documentation
* High level of commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience within Oil & Gas, Water, Mining or heavy industrial projects will be highly regarded.
