About the Role:
We have an opportunity at our Yatala branch for Lawnmower Mechanic (known internally as a Service Technician). In this hands-on role, you’ll work on a variety of John Deere Agricultural and Turf machinery, gaining valuable experience with cutting-edge equipment.
The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:
* Detecting and diagnosing machine faults
* Working on engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
* Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
* Performing scheduled maintenance and services in accordance with John Deere standards and procedures
* Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair for proper performance
* Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
* Document system information and repairs completed on work order, including parts used in our Company systems

* A relevant mechanical trade qualification
* Strong computer skills
* Small engine experience
