Disability Support Worker Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Nowra region. Our clients require support with complex mental health, physical and intellectual disabilities within their homes and in the community on a one-to-one basis.
This role involves providing personal care, domestic assistance, and community access. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing accurate and detailed shift reports, including progress notes and incident reports. Additionally, they will administer medication, diabetes management, epilepsy management, PEG feeding, bladder & bowel care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality personal care and domestic assistance to clients
* Support clients with complex mental health, physical, and intellectual disabilities
* Manage accurate and detailed shift reports, including progress notes and incident reports
* Administer medication, manage diabetes, epilepsy, PEG feeding, bladder & bowel care
Requirements:
* 6 months experience supporting individuals living with disabilities
* Possession of relevant qualification in disability or individual support
* All 3 Covid-19 vaccination doses
* Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Working with children check & NDIS Worker Check
* National Police Check or willingness to obtain
* Driver licence and own comprehensively insured car preferred
