The farm Mawarra situated in the eastern wheatbelt region of Western Australia, approximately 30 km east of Merredin and 300 km (a 3-hour drive) east of Perth. The Mawarra aggregation covers 24,054 arable hectares and operates a modern fleet of on-farm machinery.
Job Description
* Oversee the maintenance of a fleet of light vehicles, trucks, tractors, sprayers, harvesters, and a range of farm support equipment.
* Ensure all maintenance is carried out ina timelyand professional mannerin accordance withmanufacturers' requirements. This would include:
o Conducting diagnostic tests and analysing/actioning results.
o Keepingaccuratemaintenance records.
o Ensure all vehicles and equipment are servicedin a timely manner.
o Providetechnical advice to the Farm Management team.
* Management of on farm workshop and ensuring that parts are in stock.
* Ensure pre-season maintenance is completed ahead of time.
* Attend call outs asrequired.
* Assistwith the spraying, seeding and harvest operations asrequired.
* Identifyingand reporting any health and safety hazards,incidentsor issues.
* Other general farm duties asrequired.
Qualifications
* Previousexperienceas,Maintenance Manager,Mechanicor similar.You can come from an agricultural background, but we are definitely open to other industries as well.
* Experience in the operation of large-scaleplantand equipment.
* A willingness to learn and work safely, adopt new practices, further develop skills, and work in a team environment.
* The ability todemonstratea high levelof initiative and self-motivation.
* Class MC Driver's License (Would be a bonus,not essential).
