This opportunity is with an established sustainability consultancy known for delivering high‐quality BREEAM assessments across a wide range of projects within the built environment. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a BREEAM Consultant to join their expanding team in Brighton.
This role is ideal for someone with practical experience delivering BREEAM assessments, who enjoys managing projects independently while collaborating closely with clients, architects and project teams.
The BREEAM Consultant Role
As a BREEAM Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering sustainability assessments, managing multiple projects and supporting clients through the BREEAM certification process.
You will work with design teams, developers and project stakeholders to ensure projects achieve their sustainability goals while maintaining compliance with BREEAM standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver BREEAM assessments across multiple construction and development projects
* Manage projects from early design stages through to final certification
* Provide clear BREEAM guidance and sustainability advice to clients and project teams
* Review design documentation and evidence submissions
* Liaise with architects, engineers and contractors
* Ensure assessments meet BREEAM standards and deadlines
* Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and support
What They Are Looking For
The successful candidate will bring hands‐on experience within BREEAM consultancy or sustainability consulting.
Key skills include:
* Detailed knowledge of BREEAM units and assessment processes
* Experience delivering BREEAM assessments on construction or development projects
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Clear and confident communication with clients and project teams
* Ability to manage multiple BREEAM projects simultaneously

Working Environment
The consultancy operates a flexible hybrid working model.
The team meets in the Brighton office every Monday to collaborate, share project updates and maintain strong team relationships. Outside of this team day, additional office attendance is welcomed but not required, offering genuine flexibility for employees.
