Are you an experienced financial accounting professional with a strong background in statutory reporting and team leadership? We are seeking a Principal Financial Accountant to deliver high-quality accounting services to a broad range of SA Government agencies.
YOU A technically strong, self-motivated accountant who thrives under pressure and brings deep expertise in financial statement preparation, audit liaison and general ledger management. A natural leader who fosters a positive team culture and is committed to compliance, client service and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Leading a small team and delivering statutory reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger, payroll interface and fixed asset accounting services to SA Government agencies.
* Support financial governance, audit readiness and continuous improvement while maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications
* CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
* Demonstrated experience preparing complex financial statements and managing audit processes with strong knowledge of accounting standards within a government context
* Proficiency in financial systems such as Masterpiece, Oracle or SAP, and advanced Excel
* Proven ability to lead and develop a small team
* Strong stakeholder communication and advisory skills
