We are seeking an energetic and hands‐on Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic and friendly team at our busy warehouse located in Marrickville.
Responsibilities
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
Taking goods to the appropriate storage space – using forklifts and lifting gear for heavy goods.
Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly.
Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely and labelled correctly.
Picking orders, bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation.
Packing warehouse orders. You'll put products into containers, such as boxes and crates, using bubble wrap or polystyrene chips, and then seal the cartons ready for delivery to shops and stores. You will also ensure orders are packaged and labelled correctly to prevent returned orders.
Report any discrepancies.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
Use of warehouse system (cloud based web application) to ensure stock levels are inputted, maintained and depleted.
Use of BOOStudio's freight engine to perform freight bookings and reverse logistics orders.

Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have possess the following:
LF - forklift licence (essential).
Experience using electric twin-tyne forklifts (desired).
Experience loading/unloading trucks.
Confident and safe forklift operator.
Able to work independently and be self‐directed.
Be confident in using Warehouse systems (Cloud based).
Be able to use Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
Be able to book freight in and account for costs.
