From managing communication and swallowing disorders, supporting residents to eat, drink and communicate safely and confidently to working collaboratively with nursing staff, allied health professionals, hospitality teams and families to optimise mealtime safety, enhance quality of life, and promote meaningful engagement and connection. Within your scope of practice, you will also support staff and resident education and help shape organisational improvements in policy and procedure. Demonstrated knowledge of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) framework Strong ability to develop mealtime management plans and communication strategies Demonstrated skills in education and training delivery to nursing, care and hospitality teams Demonstrated knowledge in assessment and intervention for communication disorders and cognitive-communication Current Driver’s License and ability to travel within Warrigal’s services in the Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Canberra.
