About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to manage a portfolio of complex litigation matters from instruction through to resolution, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm’s growth.
Reporting to the Partners, your responsibilities will include:
Draft pleadings, legal documents, correspondence, and detailed written advice.
Conduct negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions with clients and opposing parties.
Appear in court independently or alongside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
Provide strategic legal and commercial advice while mentoring junior team members.
Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Admission as a Solicitor in Australia with a current unrestricted practising certificate
Minimum of 4 years post-admission experience in civil and commercial litigation
Experience in insurance litigation, recoveries, motor claims, demurrage, or property damage
Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Strong commercial acumen with a client-focused mindset
Proven ability to manage a team and supervise legal matters effectively
