The position is located in Bowral, NSW, and the successful candidate will have the option to work hybrid from the office and remotely (up to 1-2 days per week).

About the Role
The Travel and Accommodation Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting to manage the CAR-T travel and accommodation assistance program for patients. This role involves patient registration, liaising with referring hospitals and the patient care team, obtaining approvals for exceptions, booking travel and accommodation, managing claims from state travel subsidy schemes, and handling reporting, tracking costs, invoicing, and recording payments.
We are initially looking for someone 3 days per week who can work one of those days on a Friday, though this would not need to be a full day. The role would ideally suit someone with the flexibility to increase their hours to 4 days per week in the future, though the spread of those hours over the week (along with the ability to do some of those hours on a Friday) can be negotiated. The role is responsible for the following:
Patient Registration:
Liaising with Referring and Treating Hospitals:
Liaising with the Patient Care Team
Booking Travel and Accommodation:
Managing Claims from State Travel Subsidy Schemes
Reporting and Tracking Costs
Invoicing and Recording Payments
About You
We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced administrator who is passionate about the organisation's mission and committed to making a positive impact by supporting people with rare and less common cancers.
You will have a positive attitude and approach that reflect RCA’s missions and values, be enthusiastic, energetic and highly motivated.
Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Qualifications in business administration, related study or commensurate professional experience.
Previous experience in a healthcare or patient services role.
Experience with travel and accommodation coordination.
Experience with state travel claims or similar processes would be highly regarded.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for tracking costs and producing reports.
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions to patient and program needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
