A global leader in industrial automation and engineered solutions is seeking a Channel Sales Manager to lead and expand its distribution network across Victoria, SA and TAS.
This is a strategic commercial role focused on strengthening, optimising and growing indirect sales performance through distribution partners. It will suit someone who understands that long-term market share in industrial automation is built through strong, capable and motivated channel relationships.
The Opportunity
Reporting into senior sales leadership, you will take ownership of the distribution strategy across your region, ensuring partners are aligned, engaged and commercially focused.
The mandate is clear, build deeper relationships, improve partner capability, increase mindshare within distributor sales teams, and drive measurable market share growth.
This role combines strategy with hands-on execution. You will spend time in the field working alongside distributor sales teams, supporting opportunity qualification, influencing specification and ensuring products are positioned as the preferred solution within their portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
You will develop and implement channel growth strategies aligned to national objectives.
You will build strong relationships with distributor leadership and frontline sales teams, ensuring alignment on targets, incentives and account plans.
You will support key opportunities through joint sales calls, product training and technical engagement, ensuring the channel is confident leading with your solutions.
You will monitor pipeline health, forecasting accuracy and performance metrics across the indirect channel, using CRM data to drive visibility and accountability.
You will identify capability gaps within partner organisations and implement initiatives to strengthen sales effectiveness and product knowledge.
The Profile
We are seeking a commercially driven channel professional with:
* Demonstrated experience building or managing distribution networks within industrial automation, electrical, mechanical or engineered products
* Strong understanding of how distributor sales teams operate and how to earn share of wallet within competitive product portfolios
* Proven success driving growth through indirect sales models
* Technical credibility within automation, pneumatics, instrumentation or control systems
* A structured, metrics-led approach to pipeline and performance management
Engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential if supported by strong technical sales experience.
