Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Rockhampton Workshop team. This permanent role offers flexibility, with the option to work full-time or part-time, and is ideal for those looking to take ownership of their career.

Main Responsibilities:
* Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks and servicing to ensure the fleet remains at compliance standards.
* Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
* Repairs: Perform repairs on mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
* Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections to ensure all systems and components meet safety standards and regulations.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
* Operational Interaction: Communicate with operational leaders and drivers to ensure work is completed within timelines.
* Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.

Requirements:
* Hold a valid qualification for the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology).
* Proof of experience within the Heavy Diesel repair industry.
* Excellent time management skills, ability to plan your workload and required parts.
* A dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance Policies.
This role involves repairing new trucks, including Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, Isuzu, and UD, as well as completing routine servicing, diagnosing, and maintenance tasks. With over 1000 units in our fleet, you will have ample opportunities to develop your skills and advance your career.
