Overview
Working on the traditional lands of the Wadjuk people of the Noongar Nation, our Student Wellbeing Directorate is a collaborative, student‐centred team committed to safety, wellbeing, equity and inclusion. We bring together expertise from Student Wellbeing & Partnerships, Counselling and Medical Services, and Access & Inclusion, forming a connected network that ensures students receive coordinated and compassionate support. Together, we deliver safe, person‐centred and trauma‐informed responses and contribute to a supportive environment where every student can thrive.
Your New Role
We are seeking 2 x Safe & Respectful Communities Case Managers to join our team.
The Safe & Respectful Communities Case Manager delivers specialist, trauma‐informed and person‐centred support to students who experience, witness, disclose, or are reported to have engaged in harmful behaviours, including matters within the University's gender‐based violence (GBV) framework. In addition to direct student support, the position contributes to prevention initiatives, maintains student‐facing information and helps build capability across the University to ensure safe, effective and consistent responses. This is also an opportunity to support the development of GBV prevention and response initiatives aligned with the National Code for Gender‐Based Violence.
Key Duties
* Provide confidential, trauma‐informed and culturally responsive support to students who disclose experiencing, witnessing, or being reported for harmful behaviours, including GBV‐related concerns.
* Explain available options and coordinate access to specialist services, interpreters, accommodation support and urgent care, ensuring students do not need to retell their story multiple times.
* Ensure students' preferences meaningfully inform safety planning and next steps, in line with trauma‐informed practice.
* Please refer to the Position Description for further details.
