The Role
The Maintenance & Reliability Manager works with the National Operations Manager to coordinate and optimise maintenance and reliability activities across seven production sites. The role focuses on improving safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance through structured maintenance planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives, while reducing unplanned downtime and strengthening long-term plant reliability.
This position provides technical leadership across the network to drive consistency in maintenance systems, standards, and practices. It requires a mechanically or electrically qualified engineer with strong experience in maintenance planning systems and multi-site manufacturing environments, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, maintenance, engineering, and supply teams.
Based in Campbellfield, Victoria, the role includes regular travel to support all masonry sites.
Responsibilities
* Develop detailed maintenance work plans including job scopes, sequencing, labour requirements, and materials
* Create and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimise unplanned downtime
* Analyse equipment performance, failure trends, and maintenance data to improve reliability outcomes
* Support root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
* Manage CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Pronto, MEX or similar), including work orders and maintenance data integrity
* Prepare maintenance reports, KPIs, and insights for leadership review
* Coordinate with operations, engineering, contractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient maintenance execution
What you will need to succeed
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience)
* Strong experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability engineering in manufacturing or industrial environments
* Proven capability with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Pronto, MEX or equivalent)
* Solid understanding of maintenance processes, asset management, and reliability principles
* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills
* Strong knowledge of safety systems, risk management, and compliance requirements
* Excellent organisational, planning, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience with reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA) and continuous improvement programs
* Multi-site manufacturing experience with exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement within building products environments
