Our Park Ridge Tavern has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef. A leader and mentor to our kitchen team, with purpose to provide and deliver a high-quality food offering and outstanding service to our customers in a busy evironment.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities required but not limited to;
- Leads by example with a ‘hands on’ approach
- Controlling and directing food preparation, overseeing the entire food preparation process and related activities.
- Ensure efficient kitchen operations and high-quality dishes
- Menu and operational planning, offering regular updates to keep patrons interested
- Stock management and control
- Staff management, mentoring and training
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork
- Wage and Expense control
- Health and safety regulations
- Ensure compliance of internal policies and procedures
Knowledge and experience required.
- Trade qualified
- Minimum two years as a Sous or Head Chef in a high-paced, high-quality Hotel with function experience.
- Modern, innovative culinary skills, strong knowledge of food trends, cost control, and presentation.
- Experience in scheduling, managing, mentoring, and training staff.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and skilled demeanor.
Remuneration will be negotiated depending on the experience of the successful applicant.
