About the role
Are you passionate about supporting the wellbeing of children and helping them flourish in a nurturing, faith-based environment? St John Vianney Primary School in Morisset is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Care Worker to join our vibrant school community.

Responsibilities
* Provide pastoral care services and strategies that support the wellbeing of the broader school community
* Collaborate with staff, students and families to promote a caring and respectful school culture
* Contribute to programs that foster academic, social, emotional and spiritual development
Experience / Criteria
Desired Skills and Experience
* Be a Catholic
* Understand and support the Catholic Identity and mission of the school
* Demonstrate ethical conduct and the ability to work respectfully within and outside the school
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with the Principal, Parish Priest, teaching staff, parents, and the broader community
* Strong organisational ability and capacity to work effectively in a school environment
* Competent in monitoring and reporting requirements of CSO and NSCP
* Ability to prioritise the wellbeing of students and families
* Comply with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW) and related laws
Qualifications
* Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* Completion of anaphylaxis training
* Meet NSCP minimum qualification requirements (Certificate IV in Youth Work or Pastoral Care or equivalent)
Conditions of Employment
Salary is in accordance with Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award 2020.
