Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mine Planning Engineer to join our high-performing Underground Technical Services team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe management and delivery of all planning requirements within the mining engineering team.
Responsibilities
* Supervise Mine Planning & Scheduling Engineers
* Design, optimise, and provide cost analysis for underground mine plans
* Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly mining schedules
* Collaborate with department seniors for optimisation and execution plan
* Co-ordinate and manage capital works mining contractors
* Assist long-term planning with ore reserve preparations
* Identify and implement opportunities to optimise mining processes
Requirements
* Advanced skills and user of Deswik packages (CAD, IS, SO)
* Practical experience in various mining methods
* Experience in coordinating a team in large-scale underground mining operations
* Strong collaboration skills and techniques
* Previous experience with financial modelling/costing
* Ability to influence, communicate risks, realistic plans, and delivering compelling presentations
* 7 years' experience in underground mining operations
* 2 years in UG Mine Planning and Scheduling roles
* WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (desirable)
