The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within the Compliance, Investigations and Prosecutions Section for a motivated legal professional to join the team as a Prosecutor. This is a single position that may be appointed at the ASO3, ASO4 or ASO5 level, depending on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate.
You will play a key role in representing the Department in matters under transport legislation, contributing to public safety, protecting revenue, and supporting a fair and efficient transport network. The role offers a flexible entry point for candidates who demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the ethics of the legal profession.

Educational Qualifications/ Licences
ASO5
* A degree in law is desirable and admitted (or eligible to be admitted) as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia; or
* Tertiary qualifications in a field of study that might demonstrate some or all of the required capabilities; or
* Demonstrated working experience in a legal or similar environment.
ASO4
* A degree in law is desirable and admitted (or eligible to be admitted) as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia; or
* Tertiary qualifications in a field of study that might demonstrate some or all of the required capabilities; or
* Demonstrated working experience in a legal or similar environment.
ASO3
A degree in law is desirable and admitted (or eligible to be admitted) as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia is desirable.
Special Conditions
* A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
* A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every five years.
* A Driver's Licence is essential.
* Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary contract up to 12 months
Remuneration
ASO3 - $67,589 to $72,033 pa + superannuation
ASO4 - $76,561 to $80,256 pa + superannuation
ASO5 - $85,790 to $95,413pa + superannuation
