About the program
Our Graduate Program offers you the chance to help shape Rio Tinto from within. The Graduate Program extends over two years, focusing on developing both foundational and future‐focused skills.
Responsibilities
* Work on a site transitioning through closure and long‐term rehabilitation.
* Contribute to safety, asset management, closure planning and rehabilitation activities.
* Collaborate with experienced professionals to understand responsible site closure and transfer transferable skills across mining, processing and infrastructure environments.
Qualifications
* Graduate with a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (majoring in Electrical).
* Final year of study or recently graduated with less than two years of relevant work experience.
* Right to work in Australia or New Zealand (citizens, permanent residents, student or postgraduate work visa holders).
* A current "C Class" manual driver's licence at the time of commencement.

Location
Our Gove site in Australia's Northern Territory supplies world‐class bauxite for the global aluminium industry. The site will cease operations later this decade, and we are doing significant work to support the closure of the operation.
