The Holistic Healing Lead provides leadership, coordination, and strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams delivering culturally safe, trauma‐informed, and person‐centred support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The role ensures healing services integrate clinical, cultural, therapeutic, and community‐based care while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and best practice. The Lead oversees day to day operations and supervision of the SEWB, AOD, Suicide Prevention, Psychology, Psychiatry, Trauma Counselling and Cultural Support teams, fostering a collaborative and culturally safe work environment. They coordinate multidisciplinary case reviews and holistic healing meetings/ huddles to support consistent, effective care and ensure all programs align with community needs, organisational policies, clinical standards, and funding requirements. Working closely with the Cultural Support Officer, the Lead embeds cultural guidance across all care pathways and ensures services honour Aboriginal identity, values, and healing practices. Engagement with, community members, and stakeholders strengthens service accessibility, cultural relevance, and trust.
A key part of the job is supporting staff through mentoring, reflective practice, debriefing, and general wellbeing support. The Lead helps identify training needs and models culturally safe, trauma‐informed practice.
The role also includes administrative tasks such as writing reports, submitting data, completing compliance documents, and keeping accurate records. In addition, the Lead assists with managing the Psychiatrist's waiting list, ensuring people are followed up quickly, prioritised appropriately, and supported in line with the guidance of the Psychiatrist and GP.The role also assists with managing waiting lists for the Psychiatrist, ensuring timely follow‐up, priority management, and coordinated responses in collaboration with Psychiatrist and GP guidance.

Skills and Experience
· Strong understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including:

* Trauma impacts and healing approaches
· Experience working within culturally safe, trauma‐informed, and strengths‐based frameworks.
· Ability to engage respectfully with community, Elders, families, and cultural leaders.
· Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship‐building skills.
· Experience supporting people with complex needs, including coordinating referrals with clinical and non‐clinical services.
· Ability to provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and supervision to staff across healing and wellbeing programs.
· Good organisational skills, including accurate record‐keeping, report writing, and managing program responsibilities.
· Understanding of confidentiality, risk management, and professional boundaries.
