FTA Queensland, in association with QGPA, plans to recruit staff from the surrounding areas where possible to support the local workforce and infrastructure.
Flight Examiner / Approved Testing Officer (Full‐Time)
Start Date: TBA 2024. Reporting to Manager of Standards.
Job Overview
The Flight Examiner / Approved Testing Officer is responsible for the conduct of assessments and flight tests for both staff and students at FTAQ.
Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a Grade One Instructor Rating.
* Hold a Command Instrument Rating.
* CASA Flight Examiner Rating – FER‐MEA, FER‐IR and FER‐CPL.
* Previous DA40 and DA42 experience highly desirable.
* CASA Flight Examiner Rating – FER‐FIR.
* Instructor Testing Approval.
Applicants must also pass a pre‐employment AOD test and provide a National Police/Criminal History Check. This position is only available to Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – B1.2 (Piston Engine/Airframe)
We are looking for a qualified B1.2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team in Adelaide or Wellcamp. The role involves maintenance of single and multi‐engine piston aircraft across our general aviation fleet.
Qualifications and Experience
* CASA B1.2 Licence (engine and/or airframe).
* Experience with piston engine aircraft.
* Ability to work independently and solve problems.
* Valid driver's licence and ability to obtain an ASIC.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Full Time)
We are currently looking for a suitably qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. FTA owns and operates Australia's largest fleet of Diamond piston engine aeroplanes, the Mudry CAP 10 aeroplane, and Schweizer helicopters. The role is based in Adelaide or Wellcamp and reports to the Engineering Manager.
Skills and Experience
* Cert IV Aeroskills (Mechanical).
* Demonstrated ability to use initiative for problem solving.
* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Experience with single and multi‐engine piston aircraft.
