The opportunity:
This position is best suited to an individual who has experience in demand/supply planning within a consumer goods business. Working collaboratively with local and global stakeholders across our product lines this role will give you the opportunity to gain deeper insights and have more influence on results for your category.
Reporting to the National Planning and Inventory Manager, you will lead monthly forecasting meetings with sales, planning, product management and marketing, leading the teams to develop strong forecasting behaviours. You will capture peaks and troughs in the forecast around sale performance, promotional activity and seasonality, while managing and monitoring incoming and outgoing stock to ensure the right levels of inventory are in the right place.
This is where you come in:
Your creation and maintenance of reports will provide the sales team and customers with clear visibility of variances, and you will manage inventory by driving the right forecast at state level ensuring the right level of stock availability. Ensuring stock transfers between states are maintained, and that stock is sent to the right place at the right time to meet customer requirements will involve working closely with warehouses, logistics and the sales team. This role will also involve collaborating with global supply chain on continuous improvement opportunities, factory insights and optimisation of inventory.
You'll need:
- Proven forecasting and supply planning experience
- Prior Supply Chain experience of 3+ years desirable
- Highly analytical capability with the skill to interpret and evaluate results
- Agility to exercise your judgement coupled with business data to make informed decisions
- Highly communicative style of engaging with stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- JD Edwards system (JDE) knowledge desirable
