Are you passionate about driving high performance and shaping the future of elite sport in Western Australia? We are seeking an energetic leader to take on the role of Head Coach for the WA Men's Team Programs. In this role, you will lead and manage all aspects of the WA Men's Team programs, including coaching, player development, and performance strategies. You will oversee the design and delivery of integrated high performance programs, ensure alignment with national pathways, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability. Working closely with support staff and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in building sustainable success for Western Australian teams and players. This is a full time position offered on a two year fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage WA Men's Team programs in alignment with WA Cricket's Strategic Plan.
* Design, implement, and review individual and team coaching programs for elite and development squads.
* Oversee team participation in CA competitions, including match strategies and performance evaluations.
* Lead selection processes, develop clear philosophies, and manage WA Men's Team list strategy.
* Conduct player reviews, providing feedback and development plans.
* Coordinate support staff and specialist coaches to deliver integrated, holistic programs.
* Drive a sustainable high performance culture, reinforcing behavioural standards and values of the sport.
* Implement injury prevention and management strategies in collaboration with SSSM.
* Liaise with CA National Selection Panel and support player transitions into national programs.
Great fit for this role looks like
* Level 3 Cricket Australia Coaching Accreditation or equivalent internationally recognised certification.
* A strong understanding of cricket at a national level.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high performance sport programs and systems.
* Strong results orientation with the proven ability to plan strategically and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
* Experience leading and managing people and proven ability to develop a high performance culture within teams.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Detailed understanding of, and networks in, Western Australian cricket (desirable).
