The Role We are seeking a Consultant/Specialist Respiratory and Sleep to join a dynamic, expanding team. As a regional centre, it provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, catering to a high prevalence of:
Lung cancerChronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)Pulmonary infections and tuberculosisPulmonary fibrosisSleep disordersThe Hospital: A General Public Hospital that provides acute care facilities, this is an accredited teaching hospital that has a close partnership with the University Clinical School and the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Intensive care unitAcute medical unitWard-based non-invasive ventilationBronchoscopy services, including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)Pleural ultrasound and pleural proceduresEligibility Holds specialist registration; or an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality (substantially comparable).
Vehicle Benefits: Fully maintained private vehicle or allowance ($28,389 p.a.)

Relocation Support: Up to $15,000 for approved appointees
Permanent Full-Time Role: 76 hours per fortnight (with on-call duties)
