About the role
Alwyn Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in Strathfield, NSW. This is a part-time position that will provide support to our Physiotherapy team in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients on weekends.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting physiotherapists in the delivery of treatment plans for patients
* Setting up and maintaining treatment areas and equipment
* Providing basic patient care and support, such as mobility assistance, transfers, and monitoring
* Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records
* Communicating with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
* Promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
What we're looking for
* Completion of a Physiotherapy Assistant or Allied Health Assistant qualification
* Experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting, preferably in a physiotherapy-related role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
* Excellent organisational and attention to detail
* A caring and empathetic approach to patient care
* Commitment to continuing professional development and learning
