Medical Laboratory Technician -Dermatology (Mohs Histotechnician). The successful applicant will work under the direction MOHS Practitioner. As a Technical Officer/Scientific Officer Mohs Technician, you will be responsible for the reception, preparation, and processing of fresh tissue in the MOH's clinic. This includes receiving skin samples for frozen section which entails embedding, cutting and staining.

**Where you'll be working**: Dermatology - Outpatients Clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital
**What you'll be doing**: The Incumbent will work under the direction of the Dermatology Head of Department and Dermatologic Surgeons. Responsible for assisting the physician in the care of patients to assure optimal medical care. As a Technical Officer/Scientific Officer Mohs Technician, you will be responsible for the reception, preparation, and processing of fresh tissue in the MOH's clinic. This includes receiving skin samples for frozen section which entails embedding, cutting and staining.
- People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply._
- Bachelor of Science degree, Diploma of Laboratory Technology (Pathology Testing) or other certificate or course of training as, in the opinion of the employer, is appropriate.
- Sound understanding of Histology, previous experience in frozen section (preferably skin, Mohs) including experience in the laboratory environment.
- Demonstrated Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- An understanding of the requirements of Laboratory standards as determined by Australasian College of Dermatologists MOHS Group.
