Psychologist – Paediatrics– Level 3 – Permanent, Full Time

Tasmanian Health Service – North‐West Coast

You'll play a leading role within an inclusive and expert North West paediatric team, working alongside Paediatricians, Allied Health professionals, and Nurses to deliver care that is centred on the unique needs of each child and family.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver psychological services to children and adolescents aged 0–18 years in an outpatient paediatric setting
* Provide cognitive and developmental assessments for pre‐school aged children to support diagnostic clarification, care planning, and intervention
* Undertake therapeutic assessments and evidence‐based psychological interventions for children and young people aged 0–18 years
* Develop and implement individualised, goal‐directed treatment plans addressing cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary paediatric team, including participation in case conferences and family meetings
* Provide family‐centred care, supporting parents and carers through education, guidance, and therapeutic input

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Relocation Assistance: Reimbursement for up to $10,000 of expenses incurred through relocating.

Professional Development: $1,000 per annum for expenses incurred for professional development.

Eligibility

* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia
* Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia
* Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

Desirable criteria

* Holds area of practice endorsement in relevant area/s: Counselling Psychology, Community Psychology, Educational and Developmental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, Organisational Psychology, or Sport and Exercise Psychology
* Current Driver's Licence
