An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hospitality Store Supervisor to join our expanding team As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and customer-focused supervisor to help drive Store sales, enhance customer experience, and support the overall efficiency of our hospitality store and operation in Darwin.
The Position
Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, this supervisory role is key to ensuring our Hospitality Store achieves Sales and GP targets while delivering a high standard of customer service. You will also be tasked with providing sales and administration support for the Branch to assist the Branch Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Hospitality Store
Achieve Sales and GP budget and specific KPIs
Deliver a high standard of customer experience by providing expert product knowledge, tailored recommendations, and professional service – face to face, email and phone etiquette.
Ensure merchandising, store presentation and housekeeping standards are kept at a high level
Support the Sales team when they utilise the Store as a showroom for their customers to view products and provide customer leads
Oversee cash handling, end-of-day reconciliation, and banking procedures, ensuring accuracy and security.
Manage customer accounts, invoicing, and credit transactions in compliance with company policies.
Ensure adherence to WHS policies, compliance requirements, including monthly audits and incident reporting and attendance at monthly safety meetings
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, identifying opportunities to improve store performance.
Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently, providing timely solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Unpacking stock onto shelves, pricing stock, rotating stock, picking and packing orders, stocktakes
Recruitment, Induction and training of new team members
Branch Administration & Operational Support
Provide administrative and sales support to Branch Supervisor and the Branch
Preparation of customer quotes
Assist with branch rosters, leave management and general administration
About You
Demonstrated experience in a similar retail role preferably in the hospitality or catering industries
Passionate about retail, sales and delivering top-tier customer service and build strong customer relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and confident ability to deal with team members, customers and suppliers
Well planned and organised with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Confident in handling customer interactions, resolving issues effectively, and enhancing the shopping experience
Knowledge of retail operations, including stock control, cash handling, and merchandising
Experienced using POS/EFTPOS systems (experience using Pronto ERP is a plus)
Demonstrated ability to sell and provide quality solutions for customers
A solid knowledge of Health, Safety and Sustainability requirements aligned to a retail environment.
