Your role :
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Trade Overseer to join our Textiles Unit at Cooma Correctional Centre.
What you’ll do :
* Supervise and develop inmates by managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them as team members to improve their work skills, enhance post-release employment prospects, and contribute to Service / Business Unit objectives.
* Oversee team activities to ensure productivity, efficiency, and achievement of commercial objectives, while meeting Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management, and customer service requirements.

Successful candidates will receive paid training to undertake Certificate III in Correctional Practice at the Brush Farm Corrective Services Academy.
Qualifications Required :
* Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or the ability to complete it within specified CSNSW timeframes.
* Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to drive a vehicle as part of the role.
* Relevant Trade qualification in Textiles, Clothing Production, Pattern Making & Sewing.
* Experience demonstrating the ability to meet key accountabilities and focus capabilities outlined in the role description.
* Willingness to work across trades as required.
