About The Role
Join our dynamic City Events team as Event Producer and play a key role in shaping and delivering a vibrant calendar of city-wide festivals and events. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of major public events that enhance the City's reputation as a premier destination for cultural and community experiences.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Co-ordinate programming of key events to deliver increased visitation, arts and cultural outcomes, economic benefits, and community social benefits
* Plan and manage indoor and outdoor events including coordination of risk management, operations, resources and contractual and financial management
* Appoint and manage entertainment, suppliers and service providers and engage with various internal and external stakeholders
* Participate in budget development for key events to ensure cost efficiencies, quality, local relevance
* Event evaluation for continuous improvement

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. event management/tourism) and/or substantial equivalent experience
* Demonstrated experience and expertise in festival and event management delivering measurable outcomes, outstanding experiences, community value and economic impact
* High level interpersonal skills and the ability to engage successfully with a range of stakeholders and develop strong working relationships both internally and externally
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing demands, including the ability to set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* The ability to be resilient, flexible, and a supportive team member
* The ability to work outside of normal hours including weekends
* Current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence
