The Tactical Skills Training Officer plays a key role in delivering high-quality tactical training to correctional staff. This position is crucial for maintaining standards, ensuring compliance and consistency of our tactical skills programs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver customized tactical skills training programs
* Establish instructional standards for consistent tactical skills training across the organization
* Develop performance criteria for course competency in tactical skills
* Review and report on training/assessment procedures for updates
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure staff receive best-practice training
* Validate tactical skills training tools per departmental policies
* Use evaluation feedback to improve the training curriculum
* Support high standards by training and developing Tactical Skills Instructors
* Evaluate and guide centre-based tactical skills instructors
* Consult with stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement
* Coordinate a training calendar with centre management for compliance
